This Never Gets Old

Time to trot this graphic out again.

The final pieces are falling into place. We sign a lease today. We move our stuff next week. Very soon, we will be settled. It’s all very, very exciting for us.

I’ve been thinking of writing a post about our year off, and all the various things we learned. Most of our time off was as wonderful as you would expect, being in a beautiful place and not having to work. It was fricken awesome, for the most part.

I learned some things in our time off that were surprised me, also. So when I get my head together after all our moving, I’ll sit down and write it all out.

I want to thank everyone that has been following along. I’ve never been able to peer into the future to see when these major upheavals are going to occur in our lives. I know they are going to happen, because really, we make them happen. But honestly, I never really know what or when they will be. Three years ago, I didn’t think I’d be married. Two years ago, I never would have thought we’d take a year off and move to Astoria. A year ago, I didn’t think we’d be happily returning to Portland because I got double knocked up.

It hasn’t all been easy, but it’s all been good. So good.¬†Ridiculously¬†good. I sometimes feel like I’m going to get crushed by an anvil or a piano falling out of the sky a la Looney Tunes, because really, it’s kinda insane bullcrap how good it’s been for us.

So, thank you, for following along. The yet Next Adventure awaits.

What fun!!! I can’t wait to hear the pros and cons of the year off. I took some time when I moved to Kansas (never ever move to Kansas if you can avoid it) and didn’t take advantage of it like I should have. Glad that you found a place in a terrific area of Portland. It seems to just fall into place. :)

    Welcome Back!
